WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CBD

01.

Where does CBD come from?

Although CBD can be found in virtually all Cannabis sativa species, hemp has the highest concentrations. It was first domesticated more than 6,000 years ago in ancient China. Since then, the plant has been selectively bred for its commercial properties, becoming a naturally rich source of non-psychoactive CBD.

02.

What is the difference between THC and CBD?

In all likelihood, you've heard of THC (or tetrahydrocannabinol for short) long before you've heard of CBD.  THC is the active psychoactive ingredient in marijuana that gets you high and makes it illegal in many parts of the world.

Fortunately, not all cannabinoids are created equal, and because of these slight chemical differences, CBD, unlike THC, is non-toxic, non-high, and has no potential for abuse.

03.

How does CBD work?

The endocannabinoid system (or ECS) functions in all mammals as a regulatory system that plays a role with our vital organs, the brain, and the nervous and immune systems. Its primary function is to ensure that resources are available and when they are not, it helps by signaling the release of specific compounds and enzymes. CBD can, at times, interact with receptors attached to the ECS.

For the ECS to work, it must be activated by cannabinoids such as CBD, through two types of CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1s are found mainly in the brain and central nervous system, while CB2 receptors exist in the immune and digestive systems. By interacting with these receptors, CBD can promote the binding of different chemicals and enzymes.

04.

How does CBD make you feel?

The ECS (endocannabinoid system) can vary from person to person, and as such the effect of CBD will be unique to that person. But research has shown widespread beneficial influence. The only person who can answer is you, try it yourself! Fortunately, the compound is non-psychotropic and non-toxic, and with the variety of products, it's easy to find one you'll like.

05.

Which CBD product is right for me?

This ultimately depends on your needs and circumstances. It is important to know that there is no superior CBD product, so take your time to find the one that works best. Regardless of which product you choose, just remember to start with a low-concentration CBD product a few times a day. This will not only allow your body to adapt, but it will help you find a routine that works for you.

06.

Why is CBD so popular?

CBD has the ability to influence a wide range of biological processes and systems, and to support the body's ability to keep everything well balanced and functioning.

It is important to remember though that the results can vary from person to person, including their ECS and its receptors. Ultimately, the key to making CBD work for you is finding the right product for your needs. CBD works on a principle of balance, you just have to find yours!
